wow that vid actually had some good info! I had always wondered which of those manifolds were better...now my question has been answered.

Should have figured you would be hunting vids like this since you got your Hughes Air Gap

Different definitions of "Air Gap" there though. For the edelbrock manifolds, it is the opening between the two sides of the plenum. For the Hughes, it is the the plenum being separated from the valley pay by the "air gap".

There really wasn't that much difference in the curves there, but, there was indeed a significant amount of area under the curver, where the dual plane was indeed better, and right in the RPM range that us truck guys will probably see the most. These results could more than likely be carried over to the M1 single plane, vs, hughes air gap debate.

Color me confuzzled: The Hughes part is the Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap but with added bosses for the injectors and fuel rail mount points.

I understand why they did it as they did (to besmirch the Victor Jr.) but I do wish they'd instead run the Hughes vs. the M1 on a 5.9l Magnum.

I've found that Vicodin completely eliminates my capacity for logical thought but doesn't give any indication that it's done so. I understand completely!

Pretty irrelevant for our EFI engines, we aren't mixing fuel and air in the manifold.

Manifold design has more to do with where you produce power, where the gas enters the system, while relevant, isn't an overpowering factor. You would see the same basic results if they used EFI manifolds, and port injection.
