ball joints aren't real bad, just make sure you can beg/borrow/rent the ball joint press. (parts store might have one for ya.)

to find your squeaks/groans, have a buddy bounce the truck while you crawl around underneath. follow the noise.

 

i've found that the dry graphite lube is good to get rid of some of the groans a truck makes
