I don't see this posted, but have you tried cleaning your engine out with a garden hose? Not enough water on the crankcase cleanliness sensor (CCS) will cause the engine to not start. I know this. I once saw a show about knowing things. It worked for this guy-

Should I use hot water or cold? I'm thinking if the engine is dirty on the inside that I should use some kind of detergent, right?

As a general rule yes, I prefer scrubbing bubbles.

Did you make sure it got its morning coffee? Sipped up through vaccuum line on brake booster. A large double double from Tim Hortons is the real trick here. (LG DD will be marked with a white grease pencil on lid) also, make sure 20 minute fresh rule was followed!

When was the last time you took it to the drive-in?

Maybe it misses the dealership and you need to go back there and pay real money for a real solution? If that doesnt work at least your wallet will be lighter and mpg's will go up.

Have you visited California recently? Your truck may have been talking to some hipsters and now refuses to run unless you stuff about 4 1/3 garbage bags (green with red draw string) of a charcoal based feather type filter into the exhaust. Best method is to use a Filter queen vaccuum from your grandmothers on reverse and finish with a plunger to ensure a snug fit. Add a small hub cap over tail pipe and torque to 7 nm.

Good luck! Let us know if any of this helps!

This happens alot with these trucks. Follow these steps

1. Walk behind truck and give it a good a** whoopin while talkin dirty.

2. Try and start. If it still doesnt start proceed to step 3.

3. Pop the hood and remove the battery and toss it far far away. That is added weight that is not needed. Also the spark plugs are not very effective since these trucks use glow plugs. Everyone knows this. So if you have spark plugs remove them and throw them far away also.

4. Remove the air cleaner and pour down a gallon of cleaner/chemical of your choice.

5. Add a full bottle of bleach to fuel tank and then try restarting.

If this doesnt work then go to the dealership and hand over your wallet containing your life savings, every credit card you have and tell them to fix it.

I really don't have much to add except I'm damm sorry his truck isn't running.

And with all my expertise, I'm at a loss

I do wish people wouldn't make fun of HankL's writting style.

He had more knowledge in his pinky than most of us put together.

Well, I could drive down and tow it to the guy 3 counties over who
fixes stuff.

None of theses guy's been around long enough to even know who Hank was. Seems to me it's the no start 5 volt thus guy cant remember his name but he has since disappeared and coincidentally so has the 5 volt cause of all the no starts.

OP you have tried everything in the book to get your truck to start. I say it is the dodgeforum "no start" disease. You must of cought it from one of the many other "no start" posts. Sorry do not have the solution it isnt on the internet anywhere to look up.

I would urge those who don't know who HankL is to do a search and read some of his stuff.

A lot of your questions will be answered and many of you will not have to post again. :P

Then we can spend more time helping guys like VW who have real problems...

Sorry about the thread jack VW.
