How can I tell if the valve body in the transmission is working? Is there any way that will affect if my truck starts or not? If I remove the catalytic converter, would that make a difference?

 

did you get your truck running yet vw? if not have you tried putting your truck in park and turning the key, or in neutral and turning the key? also you may want to try putting oil in your gas to lube the cylinders. give that a try and see if it starts. maybe its something simple that youre missing.

 

This is REALLY PISSING ME OFF. I'm ready to sell this truck because no one has told me what I need to do to get this truck running!!!

Just dont forget to get the new (preferably bosch) O2 sensor and just stick it into the tail pipe, you got it brother!

 

I've heard our trucks will only run if you put lead additive into the tank.

But it has to be poured DIRECTLY into the tank, NOT through the filler neck.

To do this, you must cut a hole into the side of the tank.

Then you pour the lead additive into the tank.

Then you weld the hole shut.

Also, I broke one of my brake lines.

I can fix that by wrapping it with duct tape, right?

Have you tried TESTING the 5 volt wire running to the Dingle Arm Modulator?
