Default Poor Ford

Well me and a few of the guys were out putting up my new deer stand. Well my one buddy said I can bring my truck back here. I looked at him and said that his truck will get stuck in no time at all. He continued to tell me that his F-150 was more than capable of making it back there. So i told him to go right ahead and try. Well the pics show the rest of the story.

Was the ford a 4x4? Hard telling, but, those sure don't look like off-road tires on there.

Yes it was a 4x4. Still has street tires on it. this experience has him going for new tires. but that spot is a very bad one. Swallowed my lifted jeep and got a full size blazer with 34 inch super swampers stuck. Looks alot worse then it really is.

You came to the rescue maybe, but did you try and go through it?

Like i said it wasnt my truck that came and got him but if i had 4x4 i would be more than happy to do it. My buddy who pulled him out with his 08 wanted to but didnt. Once my 4x4 is fixed ill go through it. Only person to make it through was my pops in his truck

I wouldn't attempt that rut with street tires in any truck. But that guy might have made it through if he had straddled it, it looks like there's plenty of room on the right side to do that.

Yeah, he made a classic error. Driving IN the ruts........ need more ground clearance, and larger tires for that kind of behavior. (not to mention tires with a bit more bite to them than those highway stars he has on there.....)

There is way to much brush to stay to the right unless you don't mind scratches. Also very easy to get cross rutted in there. This pit is pretty close to swampy wetlands so its always extremely wet

I thought the 2wd guys were the only ones that worried about scratches.

Well i wouldnt care if it was my truck. But the fact that this guy even took his truck off of the pavement was a shock to us all there. So i highly doubt he would want to be driving through the bushes there lol
