What about the SCT tuner? Does it make much of a difference?

That is a ripoff. KRC priced a package for 2600. Less if you already have a SCT.

READ HERE:
http://www.bionicdodge.com/bionic/in...p?topic=9467.0

It is a rear mount turbo. 2600 plus 3-400 in exhaust work. You can slap it on a stock motor and get 305HP/390Tq with 4 lbs of boost. If you get an M1 intake and replace your head bolts with Head studs, you are looking at 413HP/540TQ. But you need to get rid of the two piece intake and reinforce those heads in order to go 10 PSI.

That would actually be the cheapest way to go. Considering I have spent about 2500 on my mods alone. Albeit lots of those mods were "handed down" from previous vehicles (Fastman, Injectors and MSD).

Oops, hold on ... you said "cheapest/easiest" .... never mind

It will add the most HP to your vehicle than any mod you do. Best power to cost ratio.

Do these:
1. Replace plenum and get 180* thermostat
2. Get SCT (don't do 180* thermostat unless you are going to get a SCT immediately)
3. get a different y pipe. Where the two flanges meet into one. That is restrictive.

After that things get pricey. 1.7RRs, headers and high flow cat will add an extra grand, depending on what headers you get. i would not skimp. Get JBAs.

And after doing all that, "not cheap" stuff. The truck will still be a slug unless you change the gears. LOL I did all that to my 98, and it was still a POS with 3:55 gears.

"That is a ripoff".

Exactly my thoughts. They'd have two chances of ripping $5500 out of my wallet for that - slim, and none.

Not to hijack the thread or anything, but that's what I do best, so here goes: where does that remote turbo end up going, and what does all that extra piping do to turbo lag? At least it keeps the intake air a lot cooler, which is good.

Actually already did the 180 thermostat when all the other stuff was done, forgot about that. Good place to order the SCT tuner? And I like the mopar air filter and valve covers in your picture, where can I get those?

there is usually more turbo lag the further back a turbo is, but there is usually less lag if you go with a smaller turbo

edit: hemifever.com is the best. PERIOD. he is highly recomened on this site

As far as the turbo. That is what a twin turbo setup is for. Little turbo for the lag reduction and a big 'un for the power.

180* right now is not TOO bad. As for your questions:
1. www.hemifevertuning.com I think that is the site, or you can PM Hemifever on this site!! His name is sean.
2. Valvecovers and air hat:
--Got the valvecovers from ebay for 100 dollars. Took me TWO YEARS of searching and bidding to get them used for 100 or less. They cost regular about 200-220. There are ones that sell for about 90 dollars, but they are for the LA style engine, not the Magnum engine. They are expensive for doing NOTHING.
--Got the air cleaner from summit for about 89 bucks. You can find them on ebay USED, but they go around 50-60 bucks. For that much (plus shipping) I opted to buy a brand new one.

Hahns 5.2 might want to jump in here, but the reason why you get LAG is because you are not running a turbo matched to your system. Besides, if you go too big, you will just tear parts.

If I could RW Dyno 300 HP/390 TQ, I would be VERY VERY happy. My tranny would be sad though.
