Ram Body work
The two front holes are slotted. but the third hole is not. I may do that and then if I can get it where is belongs put a small tack weld in a couple of places to hold it in position. I added lock washers (which Dodge either "forgot" or left our for cost savings...
Certainly worth a shot before dropping coin for a bumper and shipping!

The last step of this project has been selection of aftermarket wheels (probably a black theme, eh?) and new set of tires. I won't have a vehcile with non matching tires......I am retentive that way!
Damn. I did not see those in the items you had posted. Just picked up a pair from dealer on Thursday for WAY too much!
If anyone needs one (only one) for a 2003 and up, I have one new oner I bought on e-bay. Newer model requires larger square hole.
Back to work on the interior. New carpet came in this week, so removing seats was first up:

Now to rip out the stained and worn carpet:

Carpet removed…and a little surprise….

And nothing like discovering rust under the carpet……I hate rust:

More rust in the seat brace on floor. Using a rolo loc disk to remove rust:

After sanding rust off, I sprayed with Rustoleum rust restorer:

Installation of sound and heat deadening mat I purchased from LMC:

And now to lay and trim the molded carpet. Brother in law – not very smart. He came over to get me to fix the AC in his car….and I put him to WORK!

So for some reason, Dodge left the area behind the rear seat primer gray…..It will be metallic black tomorrow…..

I am sending seat bottom off to have foam and cover repaired. But as I turned them over, I discovered more damn rust. That will be treated and painted as well.

i would hate to peel back my carpet. i dont have floor mats, and my floor gets soaked in the winter after the snow melts off my boots. i may remove the carpet in the future and replace with undercoating.
Worked in Ram interior again today to try to finish. Will be shipping driver side seat bottom off tomorrow for it to be rehbilitated. If he turns it as quickly as he claims, I should see it before the end of the week.
Rear cupholder rusted bracket:

Rust converter on bracket:

Rear seat installed:

Front seat frame – I don't know how someone can let a truck get that dirty.

More dirt and that blasted rust (before converter):

Spring for seat adjuster is sprung….

Looking for replacement for sprung spring:

Replacement spring for seat adjuster:

Installing front seat frames;

Front floorboard:

After the seat bottome is returned and I can clean up all the dust from paint and body work (lots of dust) the inside will be complete.....unless I get another idea.....
