The two front holes are slotted. but the third hole is not. I may do that and then if I can get it where is belongs put a small tack weld in a couple of places to hold it in position. I added lock washers (which Dodge either "forgot" or left our for cost savings...

Certainly worth a shot before dropping coin for a bumper and shipping!

When you are all done, with the body. You need to get some matching tires. You have the Geolander and a Hankook on there both of which are good choices for an a/t

The last step of this project has been selection of aftermarket wheels (probably a black theme, eh?) and new set of tires. I won't have a vehcile with non matching tires......I am retentive that way!

Damn. I did not see those in the items you had posted. Just picked up a pair from dealer on Thursday for WAY too much!

If anyone needs one (only one) for a 2003 and up, I have one new oner I bought on e-bay. Newer model requires larger square hole.

Back to work on the interior. New carpet came in this week, so removing seats was first up:

Now to rip out the stained and worn carpet:

Carpet removed…and a little surprise….

And nothing like discovering rust under the carpet……I hate rust:

More rust in the seat brace on floor. Using a rolo loc disk to remove rust:

After sanding rust off, I sprayed with Rustoleum rust restorer:

And now to lay and trim the molded carpet. Brother in law – not very smart. He came over to get me to fix the AC in his car….and I put him to WORK!

So for some reason, Dodge left the area behind the rear seat primer gray…..It will be metallic black tomorrow…..

I am sending seat bottom off to have foam and cover repaired. But as I turned them over, I discovered more damn rust. That will be treated and painted as well.

i would hate to peel back my carpet. i dont have floor mats, and my floor gets soaked in the winter after the snow melts off my boots. i may remove the carpet in the future and replace with undercoating.
