It goes like this:

"Can you please pee in this little cup while I watch closely and awkwardly but not too much or too little and don't spill any?"

They don't say "please."

I sanded the driver side front fender as there was some distortion in the light reflection last night. Noticed this as I buffed the small place where I touched up a small spot where i burned through with buffer the other day. Bufffed the fender again. Looked a lot better. No orange peel, no wavy reflection. Then polish and wax.

Took a couple pieces of scotchbrite and scuffed and cleaned the inside of the bed. That was a lot of work. I had primed the inside of tailgate. SHouldn't need to scuff that should I? It is a course feeling self etching primer.

Have to go to Dallas tomorrow after court to pick up sister-in-law, so I am going to stop at a PPG distributor there to pcik up more clear. Already used a gallon, and still need one more coat on hood, roof and outside of tailgate. Saves a trip the other direction to Abilene.

After shooting clear one day this week I'll spray in the bed liner.

You're right. Better to do whtt may be a little extra work than have to redo it - with a lot more work.

Received black grill this week and will sand and prime it today.

Bumper (black of course) is enroute and will arrive next week.

Work is crazy busy as it is grant writing time as well as new program development (civil legal services). Even doing lots of paperwork at home for work, so Ram is not getting as much time and attention.

So I had a small place on the blue metallic where I got a little wild sanding the black part of the strip. Sanding over this metallic dulls it, so I had to touch it up:

Then I primed and painted the blue strip on grille and will paint the black mettalic tomorrow:

(gotta clean out the garage when I get this project finished.......)

Plan to shoot clear on hood tomorrow, and black metallic on grille. Then clear on grille (have not figured how I am going to buff grille without shattering it....) Hope to have it on the truck Monday and then same process for bumper when it arrives - prime paint and clear....then install it back on with the new plastic bumper trim. Hoping to have it all put back together by Friday.

With the grille being new I would think you could prop or attach it to something sturdy and go over it with the buffer without too much trouble, just don't get too buff happy Or maybe some good old fashioned elbow grease.

I'd be worried about buffing an older grille that's been out in the elements for years and years.
