Default opinions please...

I put my dd 95 GMC Jimmy up for sale yesterday. Someone came and looked at it today and wants it but won't have the $ till tomorrow. Later a guy texts me and offers a 98 2500 4x4 360 gas 232,000 miles to trade even. Now I love my 98 1500 4x2 and already have done quite a bit to it (plenum, timing chain, water pump, ball joints, leveling kit, aal, dash cover, etc.) and it's reliable but I really wouldn't mind having a 2500 4x4 either. I couldn't keep both if I traded (already have 4 vehicles and a motorcycle and get reminded of it daily lol) so should I trade for the 2500 and sell my 1500? I'd obviously have to go check it out but I was only asking 2300 for the Jimmy; and I'm pretty sure I could sell one of the 2 trucks for quite a bit more.

No I didn't tell the guy I'd hold it- he didn't mention it. If he wanted to give me a small deposit to hold it then I would. He said his insurance check *should* be deposited tomorrow and he would let me know. I really don't have much faith in people coming through though lol. 10 people say they're on their way to come look at something and 1 shows up... maybe.

That is one reason I have 7 vehicles. Selling them is such a pain in the ****. People say they are coming to look at it, and never show up. Wastes my time, but they don't care....

yeah if it were me i wouldn't get it and sell of the 1500.. 230k plus is alot.. even if its in really good shape.. if you were gonna keep it as a winter rig/ play rig i'd say if your not hurting for money than it would be a good deal... but not if you planing to sell your 1500..

but thats my opinion.. but i'd pass on it

If you're worried about the mileage why not trade even for the 2500 then sell your 1500 and use that money to rebuild the motor in the 2500

id jump at the 2500 in a heart beat, and just put everything you can from the 1500 to the 2500 and sell the 1500

Lol I tried to get rid of her Kia. That's why I got the Jimmy in the first place but we couldn't sell her Kia for $4000 under book value. Tried for months and not even 1 phone call or email from a scammer! She wants to drive my truck but only if I put gas in it lol
