Default Dodge ram Manifold Bolts

--2000 Dodge Ram 2500 360--

Okay well i im currently taking off my old manifolds to either put headers or new manis back on...i have a question about the back 2 bolts on the manifold...what size r they ive tried every tool on my tool box and either one is too small or to big...ive tried metric and standard and none fit right...also to put headers on do i have to replace exhaust system too

thanks it helped...i talked to a muffler guy down the road and he said with putting headers on u will get leaks..people hate headers and people love em...so i think imma buy OEM manis...just need to know the back bolt size to get this all done

well buying good headers, gaskets and locking bolts,, and re qt after xxxxmiles should not have leaks

but remans are a more cars free than headers

Bolts have probably rusted up..... and shrank.... I think they are supposed to be 9/16ths, or 15mm...... try wrenches in that neighborhood, and see what you can get to fit.

are your stock manifolds broke? i find with old and rusty bolts it is usually better if you can use sockets. if there was too much slop i would grab the next size down and hammer it onto to bolt. i also use tons of penetrating oil.

yea there is 2 different sizes on those bolts the front bolts are 12mm but the back ones by firewall seem to be smaller than the front ones...it might be to round i dont know i started working on it at 6 the other night and was working by the light of a trouble light haha...whats the best way to get a rounded off bolt out

Sounds like someone had those off before and reinstalled with whatever bolts they could find!
