In the over all scheme of things, the D60's are fairly inexpensive to build to a bulletproof level. At least, as compared to some of the other axles out there..... Because they ARE fairly common, lots of aftermarket support for them. Off-Roading just isn't an inexpensive hobby......

You forget that EVERYTHING is much more expensive in CA!

Just doing a rebuild on a rear for R&P is ~$475.

What? They want CARB E.O. numbers on those too?

That's actually not a bad price...... rear end work (differential work in general) is just friggin' expensive.

I paid better than the average.

Yeah...cheap parts are the way to go. Actually not. Unsure about what you consider "cheap" for a 60 since they are the most desirable axles no matter front/rear. I presume you've seen what I've seen at the other site, so not sure what you mean.

I've commented on 14 bolt previously. You did too, but seemed overzealous.

Sure, hand me ~$2500 for new coilovers and the bracketry to get them installed.

This is going to be a low budget boulder buster. I'm not on a schedule so i can wait for the right price. 5.13 gears are not a dime a dozen gears in axles. I have a lofty goal of running the Rubicon, but it's going to be a real biiiiznitch no matter what. LOL
was talkin bout a rear 60

Rearend work you can do yourself, it may take you ten times to get it right but if you have no schedule your good, just find an axle that will accept 5.13 gears and get er done

Plenty of time.......

Fat Man's Misery? As in Utah of Zion's National Park? I asked my fellow Rubicon regulars and it didn't ring a bell?

Well, I'll put that to rest by saying ARB lockers w/o question.
