If I were you I would look for a set of normal wheels and tires ( like 33's or less) on craigslist. I wouldn't be suprised if found some for $50ish. Might save you more in gas. definately would make the trip more comfortable, and easier on your truck...
I forgot to add that yesterday I picked up some road flares and a fire extinguisher as well.
Excellent! Those two items should stay with the truck always. Nothing sucks like rounding a curve at night to find a broke down dark vehicle in your traffic lane. Second to that is having a vehicle fire and nothing to put it out. Third? Slamming the truck door on your manhood. But that doesn't happen nearly so often as the first two.
I owned a full service station (remember those?) in 1973. Conotane was $0.299 per gallon. Within a year, due to the Arab Oil Embargo gas shot all the way up to $ 0.549! Problem was DOE limited me to 8000 gallons a month! A bad Monday was 11,000 gallons, so I sold out to my partner.
