49 hours without a cigarette
Supposedly the herbal blend is 100% safe, the only negative I've read at all is that they do put a small amount of molasses in it for taste and of course the sugar can cause tooth decay. I've read that the amount of sugar in a can is about the same as in a tootsie roll.
Of course like anything else, they'll probably come out with a finding at some point where something in it will kill you at some point, but I'm sure it's a lot better than tobacco. It does take some getting used to and I find it breaks down a lot faster than tobacco does, meaning you use a good bit more of it.
On the plus side is that you don't need to spit and can just swallow the juice. I don't spit much with regular dip either, which is why I switched from leaf tobacco over 20 years ago. But when I'm done with this stuff, I just swallow what's left in my mouth - never could do that with real snuff - although I know plenty of good 'ol boys who do.
Other plus side is that it's exempt from tobacco tax so it's dirt cheap (at least around here) compared to tobacco. In Florida I was paying $5.85 a can for long cut Cope and even the cheap stuff like Grizzly is $3.50 a can. This stuff is anywhere from $1.49 to $1.89 a can depending on where I get it.
I'll have to check when I go up to the farm in Georgia next month. I can get a roll of Copenhagen for $9.95 there, am hoping I can find the tobacco free stuff even cheaper than the buck and a half a can I'm paying here...

February 3rd was my last one.
I took two hits off one of my moms the other day just to see if it was bad like I've heard people say it is after quitting. It is. At first it tasted like It always has, then when I blew out the second hit it tasted like an ashtray.
I didn't have a desire to smoke one, I just wanted to test the taste theory and it was right. I don't see ever going back to cigarettes.
I also realized the other day that I don't get that spaced out feeling when I don't use the e-cig for half a day because it doesn't deliver as much nicotine as cigarettes do.
Using the e-cigs is more habit and good taste than addiction. I'm stuck on two flavors right now, one taste like bananas and the other tastes like yellow cake without the frosting.

Best of luck to ya. I think of quitting every single time I light one up. I hate the habit, I really do. But everywhere I look, someone is smoking. Every single one of my family members smoke, with the exception of my grandmother, who quit cold-turkey after her heart attack. After 50+ years of smoking.
I've tried before, lasting about a month until I had a bad day. I've tried since then, but to no avail.
I'd love to cut it out while I'm still young before it REALLY starts to weigh on me.

My gf is trying to quit and is using nicoderm patches....she is a total nicotine addict and seems to be gaining weight...swapping one addiction for another.
Its been almost 3 weeks...we haven't killed each other ...yet.

I've always said that if I can make it a week then I can make it for life.
My mom gained weight after switching to e-cigs and blamed the chub on not smoking cigarettes so she picked up the habit again.
My old supervisor got on some pills 3 weeks ago and hasn't had a cigarette since but he is having interesting dreams as well. I asked if it was Chantix, it isn't.
With the e-cigs I don't feel like I'm about to freak out if I can't use it because you don't get as much nicotine with them as with a real cigarette. It's sort of a placebo effect now, fulfilling the habit of puffing on something and blowing out the vapor more than replenishing the missing nicotine in my blood stream.

I'm dipp'n Cope again. I lost 70 lbs. in six months last year and managed to maintain until I quite dipp'n. I guess with the herbal stuff you still wanna eat, but not with the real McCoy. Gained 11 lbs in a month and said "F*ck this!", lesser of two evils I guess, LOL...
Without even dieting, I've lost 8 of the 11 back in the past month or so...

I guess with some people their appetite increases without nicotine running through their veins but that hasn't happened to me. I do still have nicotine in my blood but not near as much these days.
I still eat like a pig when I'm working or doing something physical but when I'm not then I hardly eat. Today (6:37pm now) I've had a bacon egg and cheese biscuit (right before going fishing) and a 32oz gatorade and that's it. All I did today was fish since 10am. I just don't really get hungry unless I'm being really active. Sitting on a bass hunter and flipping a lure all day long isn't very active at all. I'm still the same weight that I have been for years.
