Since your gonna be right there, now is a good time to replace your valve cover gasket's if they're leaking. I only had leakage in a couple of spot's but the original gasket's where shot.

I think I paid around $12 for FelPro.

If your cat is clogged/clogging, you want to get it out of there in some way. Either replace it with something better, or just gut it. Clogged cat can cause heads to crack. You don't wanna go there.

i ran catless back to stock muffler on my last car, 2003 mazdaspeed protege with the 2.0 turbo, and i loved the sound of it when i got on it and i loved hearing the turbo spool but honestly i don't think i want another loud car. i could go for the deep v8 sound when i get on it but nothing too loud. i'll have to look into all that. i know ky doesnt do a smog test so i wouldnt have to worry about all that if i did decide to remove it. i guess it wouldnt be too much louder cause the resonators would still be on there.

thank you for that.. i found a really good fix for the bad gas mileage on these trucks... i went out and bought myself a motorcycle lol. but i plan on doing a lot of the work on the truck once it warms up. i hate working in the cold. i took the chrome fender liners off cause i hated them lol but they uncovered some bad rust.. the bottom of the doors are worse than i thought too. kind of a bummer. has anyone had any experiences with the rocker panels?
