Well front tires are starting to wear on inside of both, so I have set up an appointment to get an alignment this Saturday. I am praying to the gods above to just be an alignment and not a bunch of bad steering components. They will be giving me a print out BEFORE they try to align it, it's only $69.99 for a 4 wheel alignment.

I will update as soon as I hear from them. If I get bad news, gonna attempt to do it all myself, with the help of my bosses garage/tools. I will be needing help for sure, never worked on the front end, time to pop my cherry boys

Darn, can't move garage up that direction - fixin to move it farther south!

You only align the front on these. Usually runs $79 here.

Ok we'll I just asked for a 4 wheel alignment, they are the professionals, they can figure it out. As I said, never did any work on any of my vehicles prior to this truck, well just oil changes. As you can tell from this thread, I am learning. Thanks

Well need steering parts. They called and said outer tie rod. Said the part was $120 and labor was $160. Awesomeness

Told them not to touch it and I will have to call to reschedule another appointment.

Tie rods are pretty cheap...$40 sounds about right. Takes about 15 minutes. Measure or mark it, put the new one in same position to get close. I woud recfommend changing the other as well.

Picked up a Moog for $85 from advanced. A drive works was the same price, went with Moog. I am heading to my buddies house now to get it switched out. The passenger side is the long tie rod outer, like 2.5' or so, not the cheaper $40 short one on drivers side. Back to alignment shop on Monday. Yay...

Actually looking at the Haynes manual, what the local tire place referred to is actually the drag link?
