what gun/rifle do you have
Maybe the government should ban ALL weapons, then there will be a mass revolt against the government, thousands of innocent civilians will die, along with militia, military, and politicians, and in the end we'll have a new government system...

You guys are crazy. I am all for gun rights but its insane to think no registration is a good thing. In Pa I paid $50 to register my handgun with the state police and I feel that is ok. I am a law abiding citizen and I do not want my gun to get in the wrong hands, so i will register it.
If I lived in a state where they would not register guns, I would not feel too safe about that. To each his own I guess. The problem is there are too many idiots and not enough responsible gun owners out there for me to feel safe with them not being tracked. Unfortunately that is the world now, a bunch of paranoid nut bags. Just try to buy ammo anywhere... It's all wiped off shelves

What's left of it?

In most states, handguns must be registered, very few states require registering rifles.
In Chicago, handguns are banned, yet they are competing quite well for murder capital of the US...... banning something does NOT make it go away.
Sure I do. I also understand that the constitution was written back when they had black powder guns, not semi automatic weapons. Unfortunately, times change and people get more and more crazy with their "right to privacy". When it starts effecting other people and my family, I have a problem with that.
Registering your gun does not make it any safer, nor does it prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. All it does is clue in the government that you have one.

I am in full support of the 2nd amendment but its a shame we can't have a system in place that protects the sane responsible gun owners from ones that want to go on a killing spree and kill innocent people. I don't wanna start a huge debate here, just chatting about it openly

I never said banning of weapons. Look at Australia, they outlawed all weapons and crime rose 70%

Want a safer society? Ban Gun-Free zones. Notice that 99% of mass shootings happen in gun-free zones....... mainly because the shooter KNOWS that no one else that is there will have a gun. At least, not until the cops show up.
I agree with you ten fold about criminals. No debating there.
Average response time for cops is 6-7 mins...
I guess I am crazy for thinking there should be some sort of system in place to protect us from the crazies...
oh yeah there is for now... Gun ownership
