How old are you on this forum and what is your mechanical abilaty
I`m in my sixties. Mechanic most of my life. Love building engines 440w/6pack being my favorite. I also build 4 spd transmissions both mopar and early muncie muscle car stuff. Been to school on Holleys and enjoy rebuilding the mopar 6 pack systems and the chevroley tri powers. Been retired for nearly 12 years and know very little about this newer crap.
Bring back the sixties, hippie vans and flower children, lol.

I'm 45. I've been tinkering with things since I built my first bicycle at 8 from spare parts I salvaged (we were dirt poor at the time). Always had a knack for problem solving so I do 99% of my own repairs, regardless of what it is. An I absolutely love working on cars. The sense of accomplishment when everything is back togethor and purring beats just about everything else. May have to change careers when I retire.
I'm with ya on that, mix in an occasional three day rock festival too.
I've been 68 for a couple of weeks now, these younger guys & gals just don't know what they missed.

I am several years behind you guys, but not too far! Bring back the 70's is close enough for me! Love the older cars (carbs are easier...), freat hobby! Classic Rock REALLY rocks!
and that is why i still drive one. the only reason i bought the fuel injected ramcharger is because it could fit 2 more passengers than the truck and it had the 46RH.
This old fart currently has an all steel 1930 chebby sedan that i`m building to kill my self in according to my little wife of 43 years. And guess what I have for a drive line?
1969 440ci maunum. Yes I have also found and bought a complete 6 pack system that should deliver about 1400 cfm when I am finished with um. I have a choice of either the automatic 727 sittig on my shelf or the A 833 4 spd. The transmission will depend on whether my knees get any worse by the time I am ready for it.
I figure horse power to weight ratio on this build should yield a true asphalt wrinkling front wheel standing tire burning wife scaring 10 to 11 seconds of pure joy.
It`s currently at the top of the bucket list and if I do get wadded up inside it at the end of some quarter mile so be it. I gurantee you that the EMT`s will never see another dead corps with a smile as big as mine.
440CI good heads and cam kit + a well built 6 PACK + 4 spd + 3.90: gears + the lightest body you can builld to drop it in =`s a dynamite saturday night.
