I think there is a UV protectant coating for rhino liner, and similar products...... rough equivalent of clear coat?
Ah, thanks!! Yeah the cheap walmart stuff i put on my old truck never faded, but the herc liner did, however the herc is much more durable it seems, so id like to keep the herc, just make it shiny, lol. I just painted my roof and fenders, got the stuff from arnold motors, and I got like a gallon of clear, which i did not use up. Maybe within the next couple weeks I'll do a little experimenting, thanks for the help guys

I would use the flex agent because the Herculiner has rubber bits, and if you coat it and bump it, the rubber would give slightly and the clear would start to pit. If you know what I mean.

Yep, completely get what your sayin, I dont think it would be as much of an issue as like a plastic bumper, but it definitely can't hurt anything, i'll have to stop at my FLAPS ( ) and see what i can get my hands on. Like i said i didnt know flex agent existed until today, lean somin new everyday lol

I think you can get rattle can clear for plastic bits that has the flex agent already in it.

The whole point of the bedliner is its flat grippy easy to touch up rubberized surface....

If you paint over it you lose all that? Am I the only one who sees this? amorall works fine if you want it to be all shiny if a little dirt and looks are that important dont use bedliner? get the bed painted or carpeted or whatever the hot thing is for show trucks...

I wouldn't clear the bed itself, but I have it on the rockers which would be nicer if it didn't fade. Did a little research and herc liner now offers uv protection additive, which the rustoleum and such must have in it, as to why it dosent fade (as much anyway). Clearing it was just an idea which I may or may not do, I got some time to think about it until I can get home in two weeks

Herculiner is a polyureathane product so you should be able to clear it. If you want to color match it with your truck do this, mix your clear as specified then reduce with an equal amount of basecoat. I usually use this http://www.amazon.com/Gunk-T1616-Tit.../dp/B00200AKA8 instead of bedliner.
