So your suspension lift is 5" coil + 2" spacer = the 18" measurement from bucket to bucket using my pictures.

I have 16.5" or so and that makes my spring roughly the 5" variety then.

Thanks for the help on that estimation.

On some 7" SLs there has been a need to clock the tcase down and lengthen front driveshaft. Did you end up doing that too?

Ran the Hell Hole trail that was mentioned a few posts back this past saturday. Here's some pics to hold over. No damage, no dings like last time, but almost a pretzeled tie rod.

The starting group, but the blue 4runner bailed early in b/c of child stuff and the red powerwagon (it was his first ever trail run) decided to park and not attempt the major obstacle.

No, the drive shaft is stock and the Tcase has not been clocked. With the axle swap, the drive shaft was on the verge of being too long and with the 2"spacer everything worked out well. I guess I should look at the angle on the front shaft and evaluate the clocking issue.

On page 2 of this thread, a friend of yours put Coilovers on his 3/4 ton shortbed. What are the specific's on those, like brand, model, travel and length open/closed.

His is actually a converted 1500 as well. PO already had swapped the axles to 3/4T running gear, including the badging.

The shock's are Bilstein 9100 17" with remote resi. They are pretty wicked.

Here is his build thread to see more details.

Thanks WK, I'm looking at options in getting a little more of a lift. The tires can hit when she flexes too much. Have you had any adverse effects from your body lift and how long have you had it on your truck? Do you have to tighten it up every now and then? Any high center of gravity issues? A 3" body lift would get me up to an effective 10" lift and solve the problem of the tire hitting body. I had a bad experience with a 2" body lift on a bronco II that I had some years ago.

I've had the BL on now for 2.5 years strong. No issues to report to date. No loosening of bolts and there is no CG concerns from my experience. Note that the green dodge on C/Os is also on a 3" BL. Cheapest form to get extra wheel uptravel. Plus give more room to work on top of the drivetrain. There are no CG issues because our truck is long and full width. On jeeps and B2 you're narrower with respect to lift height, which tends to enhance any CG effects.

Or instead of adding a BL, fab up and replace fenders with tube fenders....

One of the bids from last Saturday. The pitch is hard to tell and really looking forward to deeper case ratio.
