Awesome thanks. I was doing google searches on sliders and found pictures of yours and like the way they look. In the process of making some for mine but highly doubtful they will see the use that yours do.

WK,
Awesome pictures of the Ice Breaker trip. You know I hate you alot and am jealous too. I can't wait until I have my Jeep done so I can get out on the trail again. Hoping to have the engine to the machine shop next week or the week after. Then the pictures will start again as I put the engine together.

Keep the dirty side down.............................................. .......................................

You must be one strong feller if you can rip that out with your bare hands.

Looks like it got beat to death on something... or several somethings... How did you manage that?

Short version -- it all started with hitting that bear that Saturday. It start a break on my upper control arm bracket. It was just enough to slowly cut the driveshaft. It wasn't noticeable as this wasn't a sudden event. I volunteered to help do a rescue of a fullsize truck on the Rubicon trail. They had broken down that previous Friday/Saturday. Anyways, me driving into the trail had no issues. Did all the hard stuff. Repaired rig. Coming out, just after completing 1 of 2 difficult sections...the drive shaft was cut in half. I learned I was carrying a lathy with me. lol

Welded it up a block away. Did alot of in 2wd before the last major section to climb out. Switch backs, boulders, trees, etc. called Cadillac Hill. Made it out on own power. Got on flat ground and "ting".... Front slip yoke broke. Hard to see on that picture. Welp...can 2wd most out. Few tugs here and there. Still 5 miles or something to go. Then the final happened just coming to again...a flat spot... "ting". Upper bracket gave up. That's how I finally knew the root cause.

Cleaned it up and stick welded that back on to get out. I'll put up some more pics.
