Im having a hard time locating that small red wire. Does it come out the pdc in that large harness? If so i see several red wires

Yes. The large budle of wires. I think it is 16 ga. Find one that is only hot when key is turned on.

Poke it with a tester and have someone turn key on and off. Don't skin wire back - problems after!

I thought i had found it. seems to be the only solid red wire there. but when i tapped into it i discovered it was a constant. I dont have a volt meter or tester handy....

Ignition switch might be a blue or a black and white wire too from what I researched.

I didn't read the whole thread.

Ignition wire is BLUE as shown in this pictures. I have a white pigtail spliced to it.

Maybe this is helpful to you.

ohhh no wonder the red wire didnt work...lol

that pictures helps alot!!! Im gonna go look for it now.

Sorry, meant to agree with you on that.

You can verify the wiring with the diagrams in the FSM. Haynes was not helpful to me on this one.

Dang! Theat's the photo I was looking for! I could not remember who posted it and I got colors mixed up. Done too much wiring lately to keep it all straight. Oldtimers thing.
