Default is she too old ?

Just bought a house last month and I'm going to look at a 4 year old full breed German shepherd ! By the description and how I've talked to the person I want it , won't be decided until I go .

My parents just bought a 8 month white German shepherd. And we put down our 15 year old shepherd collie mix down about 6 months ago .

Thoughts and concerns ?

the only big thing i see wrong is there is no paperwork. i am guessing it is not fixed which could be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it $$$. a big thing for me would be how well it is trained. my mom got this white lab that seem to be dumb as ever when my mom is around but when the dog can't see her is seems to smarten up and listen to every command i throw at him. the only problem with it is a couple minutes later i will usually have to re-issue the same command which is get the F@%@ off the couch.

Beautiful dog.... I love shepherds....

Female, not fixed. (thus, the diaper for use once a month...... though I would think she shouldn't go into heat that often.....)

No papers...... Has she taken her to the vet? Does she have her shots? How much is the "rehoming" fee????

Figger she is gonna need a visit to the vet, and possibly all her shots. Do you want to get her fixed? That's another expense...

She still has a lotta years left in her. When you go for the visit, make your decision from there. (I would have a hard time not taking her home with me.....)

First, get her fixed.

Second, she's most likely house trained, which means she's move-in ready.

Too bad she has to leave her Boxer buddy. You should get her a cat to keep her company. They will be a very mischievous duo.

A well socialized dog shouldn't be an issue. You would be amazed at what adult dogs let puppies get away with doing to them.
