So I was at the river a few weeks ago and got stuck in the sand, did some spinning, didn't notice anything at the time. While washing the tires today I saw cuts throughout the sidewall on both rear's, the front's are fine so I'm sure it had to have been the sand and any glass and crap in it. Crazy.. Pics:
That's the driver rear, the passenger rear isn't as bad but still has cuts throughout.
Ouch.. Hopefully they arent to deep.. Ive had that issue once when swamped in mud.. Didnt know the tire was up against some rocks and well I needed new tires after that one.
how old are the tires. they might be covered under some type of warranty. i know i have accidently screwed up a brand new tire before and managed to get it replaced for $5 which is the tax on the brand new tire.

Tires got put on in January, I got the road hazard warranty too. They don't need to know the circumstances, at least the truth anyway.....
ya. i doubt most people actually care too much about how the damage actually happened. there is no visible signs of abuse. like you where driving on the sidewalls. to me it looks like it could just be a defective tire
Just ask yourself if you are willing to experience a high speed blowout or not with the vehicle. I'm not saying those will fail fore sure in short order as I have no idea. For me not knowing is scary. But the answer for me is different for my car and truck. The truck gets all the good stuff since I'm scared what might happen in a high speed blow out. The car wont get new tires until one falls off.
