Default 2001 Ram Dies when put in reverse

I have a 2001 Ram 1500 5.9 gas. Just had transmission rebuilt but know when I put it in reverse when truck is cold the motor shakes and dies. Goes in drive ok and after it warms up reverse will work. However after driving about 12 miles the truck quit shifting out of low. After letting it set over night it started shifting again. Took it back to transmisson shop. He thinks it is the trucks computer. The check engine code showed bad computer. Wasnt having any problems like this before transmisson was rebuilt. Any thoughts???? Thanks

Was the check valve removed, TC replaced, internal electrics (ie gov sensor and Od/TC solenoids) and all the fluid lines and cooler flushed?

Did you see the 'bad computer' code on his scanner? Is the CEL on? I would be real careful here......

He showed me a code on his scanner but I have no idea what the code was. He just said it meant a bad computer. But I don't see it being the computer when after it warms up reverse will at least start working some and it drive forward for a while. I don't know what CEL is?

Need to know just what code it was, and if it shows back up after PCM reset. (codes cleared.)
