Arrow Google Redirect Issue.

I seem to have contracted the Google Re-Direct virus, so, google is pretty much worthless for me right now, and I have been unable to come up with ANY tool that will even find it, let alone remove it..... and I have been thru a LONG list..... Norton Power Eraser only succeeded at hosing my video drivers. (which I have since reinstalled....)

Make sure to report back your treasure. Hope the weather treats you right down there.

There are a boatload of fixes out there on that net. None of which work..... (I haven't tried the ones ya gotta pay for.... I DO have a copy of Norton 360 here that I could install..... thoughts on that?)

Most of the solutions are from 2009, or earlier..... none of them seem to apply to what I got, as I go looking for their registry entries and such, and they aren't there, or, the tools won't run on XP 64 bit, as supposedly, it 'can't get' this type of infection....... I beg to differ.

I have system restore turned off, as on XP, it didn't work quite as well. I am considering a complete wipe and reload.......

the only thing i hate about doing that is backing up all your important stuff. i got a 86GB folder on my desktop from all the stuff i have backed up from computers in the past. still got to go through it all one day. other wise i like doing it. it will usually speed up your computer if it is going to get any faster.
