I used an autozone clutch in my truck for a while, but it would smoke before the 33's would...

I have nothing but good things to say about my Zoom Kevlar clutch in it now, even after hauling heavy loads. It refuses to slip unless I ask it to.

Probably going to have to...my dad gave me some ramps so i put the car up and had a look to find i have gear oil over the bottom of the trans...i just filled it 3 weeks ago and its still full...just wet underneath not dripping....

And i see all positive reviews on the zoom and act clutches....but those are a little out of my price range...i want to have some money left over in case the flywheel needs attention....but the family mechanic said since its not slipping or anything yet the flywheel shouldnt have to be touched....i thought you always had to resurface it

It's a good idea to resurface it..... just like its a good idea to resurface brake drums/rotors when you do them.

I had a centerforce dual friction in my old 94 Z28 camaro. it held up good, it was quiet, light clutch pedal, and it held the power unlike the stock clutch...held up to heavy drag racing abuse and 2.5k dump launches too.. any more than 2.5k rpm would break the tires loose on launch which makes you lose at least a second on your ET from having to back out and lay back on the throttle.

My South Bend clutch definitely will never slip...it is a dual disc clutch with a 3600# pressure plate. they only make clutches for the diesels though, otherwise I would recommend them or valair to you..

I dont understand my car....i beat the **** out of it today because i want a slip so i know its bad....it catches at half pedel when i take off but when i shift gears it catches at the very very end of the pedel.....car grabs each gear fine, no rpm stumble or any slipping signs, goes into each gear fine........the family mechanic said the clutch disc is worn no doubt....but why cant i get it to slip at all?

I still believe theres an air bubble in the slave but the guy i took it too said with hydralic clutches if i had any air bubbles there would be problems shifting into gears if it goes into gear at all....now lets says i have two small air bubbles....could that cause hard gear change?

If there was air in the system, it would be a problem all the time. Air is compressible..... hydraulic fluid is not..

If you are getting varying pedal heights, I would look more at the master cylinder.....

Clean around the master and slave connections really good and see if you can see any fluid leaking after driving it around for a bit. Make sure fittings are tight. May want to just go ahead and bleed it and see if it improves any. Any chance the oil leaking is getting onto the clutch disk? If the rms is leaking it will leak engine oil not gear oil. Gear oil would be leaking from the trans. Something else to find lol .
