Thanks for the insight guys.

One thing I don't understand is why they don't make these vehicles to where they can go through fairly deep water without having to worry too much about having to replace fluids. I mean WHHHHY? lol

Not really much more they can do..... you can only design a seal in so many different ways, and what we have, works pretty good, for the most part..... Now, the trans? That was just stupid. I am going to investigate sealing that hole, and drilling one in the top of the trans, that I can run a line from, to a MUCH higher point on the truck. I may even go so far as to set up a system that runs a slight overpressure in the axles/trans/t-case, to prevent them from sucking in water as they cool during submersion.... (yeah, I go thru fairly deep water once in a while.....)

Take a look at what they specify for water depth. Also consider, that is on a NEW Jeep.... not one with worn seals and such.

My firebird could ford water too, but, only about six inches deep.....

I wonder if there is a good double lip seal out there that would fit our front diff's? Or is there enough room in the diff tube to install two seals? One each way.

if i had the right truck i would take it in any amount of water but i can't afford the truck. it goes by the name papa smurf. you have to jump about 22 seconds into the video to see it.
