I haven't been able to find if anyone else had done this but I had 5th gen hood badges installed, and I'm loving it. Just need to take off the door badges now. For anyone wanting to do this the badges snap in and a large hole must be precisely cut, these badge are built from the back and cannot sit flat. The hole has to line up the angle and curvature of the hood without compromising the structural reinforcement in the corner by the hinges. I had mutual acquaintance who is a professional body man and has built some nice customs, do it for me. As you can see the inflection point on the hood lines up near perfect with the accent grove in the badge. The badge hugs the curve of the hood much better than expected since it was made for a different truck.

Here's the back side, as you can see its all above the structural reinforcement.. He said he had to trim the rubber bump stop because a tab was touching it, then he took a small punch and made it so the tabs at the bottom could expand. Getting it out of the hole is really hard but the tabs follow the outline of the inner dished part of the badge almost perfectly. I'll see if I can get better pics in the day light of the back side tomorrow.

Interesting, should have had him take a pic of the hole before installing the emblem! I am going to try this for sure. Thanks for the pic!

Removed factory badge now. Also some pics of the profile since these badges have quite a thick seal on them and a few better from under the hood. I am trying to figure out where to put some custom red factory style v10 magnum stickers I found, they are 5"x2". Will be easier once they arrive and I can test fit them.
