ok. i quit reading just before i got that far. i read all the review of the light. i saw the truck-lite light being brought up on another forum. i just thought someone was crazy to want to spend $500 for a set of lights with only a 3 year warranty.

All anyone needs to know about adding relays for their headlights: I did it, and I'm so cool that when I drive past the high school they announce it on the PA system and let the kids out to wave at me. For extra credit!

Other than the difficulty of reaching in to the driver's side headlight, it was a cinch. And no hacking of the factory harness at all -- the kit just plugs into it on the driver's side for relay control.
Oh yeah: The kit comes with some punkass lookin' yellow sleeving more or less but not fully protecting the conductors. I hacked that crap off and replaced it with split flex conduit for better protection.

I hung 'em on the front of the battery box, and immediately regretted it when I went to put the plug on the driver's side lamp. I haven't messed with it since, but will be moving them one day when the mood takes me. And then I'll regret having empty holes showing where none were supposed to be, but that's another story.

Mine are low on the tray so the relay bodies are against the battery tray but the connectors hang out in space, and it makes it painful to get at the headlamp plug.
