Default Manufactored black spark plugs

Now i took a looksy at my spark plugs the other day (i recently just bought the machine) and ive seen something ive never seen black spark plugs. No i dont mean they were shot, the insulator was black(manufactored like that). My mechanic said he had only seen a pair of em in one other truck but he said they are great. Does anyone know the brand of these? Also my wires need replacing would there be any benefit in getting thicker wires?

They might be the Champion Truck Plugs.

I don't know if they're still made or not though.

That's what's in my truck now.
They have been said to be a good choice for our trucks but to me they are as good as about any other plug.
Thicker wires reduce the chance that you will have cross firing between the wires. There was a TSB for how to route the spark plug wires because of cross firing but if the insulation is thick enough then it won't be an issue.
Cross firing will be noticeable because when you're cruising at a constant speed you will notice the rpms surge by a few hundred. I had a crack in the insulation on one of my wires (I think it was the cylinder 8 wire) and I had the surge in rpms until I replaced the wires.

Some stock Champions and a decent set of wires should do you some good.
I put a set of $35 Bosch ones from AZ on mine a while back. I didn't even have them routed correctly per the TSB and it ran fine.

I'm still working on the word "Manufactored".
