If your interested in a Snap-On MT2500 I have one that has nothing. Just the scanner, no modules, no keys, no cables.

Depending on what you're asking might be interested, but obviously at that point it's literally a brick; I'd have to build my own kit.

PM me if you like.

The nice thing about building your own kit is that you are only going to buy what you need. When I bought the one scanner I want to say I paid around $100 for it but it looks like prices have gone down a little since then.

I'm looking at a modis and a solus right now. The Solus is 14.2 and comes with keys, case, and a bunch of connectors. I'm not sure how pricey that one will end up but at the moment it's within my range.

I like the Modis because it has scope/scanner in one. However this one isn't in quite as nice of shape as the Solus, and it's running 7.2 so it's a good bit behind. That to me is an issue because I don't have the money to dish out the $$$$ for updates; The research I've done so far shows that updates can be in the thousands.

The newest thing we have at this point is a 2008, which the 14.2 software would cover, but the 7.2 does not appear to. That all said, the MODIS is looking like it will be cheaper.

That Solus I'm watching is up around $460 now, plus shipping.

That's dirt cheap for a Solus.

It still has a couple days left on it so it'll probably break away from my price range. I've watched a few others go in the 300-400 range, but they were pretty outdated compared to this one.

I want as updated as possible, but anything 2010 or newer will probably fit my needs for a while. My eventual thought as my skills improve is to do side work here and there.

with still 2 full days left that Solus is over $500 now which basically kicks it out of my budget. It's a nice looking system so I'm not surprised, esp since most of these are lacking updates. I just can't justify the cost since I'm not a professional.

Yep that is why I ended up going with the SnapOn MT2500. Right after I bought the MT2500 I found a MTG2500 for a real good deal so that is how I ended up with 2 scanners.

What's a good price for a Solus that has software version 14 or 12. Also, what's the major differences between a Solus and Solus Pro?
