I recently rebuilt my 360 with heads and cam and now want to dial in custom tuning with hemifever. I'd rather not add another guage(wideband O2) to the dash but I will if that's the only option.
Is there a way to monitor air/fuel ratio thru the OBDII port? If so what device under $200 could do it? I have the torque app but it does not report A/F ratio.

The wideband gives much better data for tuning purposes. If you can datalog, and include an external sensor, that would be the way to go, don't really need to have the gauge in the dash.

Thanks HeyYou, I already have an o2 bung installed in exhaust so hooking up should be easy. I'm gonna go ahead with the wideband.

If you don't want to add a gauge you can just get a data logger as that is what Sean is going to need anyhow. Either way when you're dealing with Wide Band O2 stuff none of it is cheap. I don't know if any of the in dash gauges does data logging too. I'm sure there has to be at least one that does.

Here is a link to Amazon to a data logger

That unit is a pretty good deal and I like that it's wireless. Looks like a winner. Did you finish and tune your 408 yet? Last I saw it was on hold for a while.

Beeker,
No I have not gotten my 408 done yet. At this point it is on hold until spring as my garage isn't heated and it is too cold to work out there. So I am on hold until March or April depending on the weather. If you get that data logger let me know how you like it and how it works for you.

Gonna talk to Sean and see if he can work with it first or what he recommends. I'll let you know.

How do you guys feel about the Actron scanners? I've been debating between the CP9580A or the CP9185. https://actron.com/sites/default/fil...og-2013-lr.pdf

I've also been looking at the MD802 all system from Autel.

How much those run?

For 50 bucks or so, (and sometimes less...) you can get a cable, and software for your laptop, that shows a LOT more information...

Those tools I linked range from around $140 up to about $250 on ebay. The Autel unit is the most expensive. That unit is basically a step down from their MaxiDAS unit. It runs the same software, just lacks full bi-directional capability. Obviously tht would be nice, but that's when you get into the $2k+ range.

The 2 Actron unit are quite similar. The CP9185 has OBD-I support as well if you purchase the extra cables. However, the CP 9580A has ABS support. Otherwise they appear quite similar.
