No matter how much work you put into it the truck is still a 1500... I agree its stupid but hey you gotta play by the rules..
Yah the VIN will still show up as a 1500. Strange but they won't bother with weight ratings on non-commercial vehicles around here. All I have to do is say I pieced the truck together with a lot of 1500 body parts There's enough piece-mealed vehicles around here to fool 'em.. But all I would have to do is grab some body parts off of a 3500 with the different VIN LOL.. Got em fooled already. Wait, i forgot about the title and registration... Oh well. Just a big dream that probably will never happen...

I'm a little slow but the point to a diesel 1500 isn't for the same towing power of the 25/3500 Diesels, but more for fuel economy.

After all, it would just be a 1500. The idea of having a full power Cummins (by todays standards) under the hood is kinda stupid.

Just look at Moochoff, I'm sure he'll see considerably better fuel economy with his 4BT then the 318/360 could even dream of.

That is the point to a diesel 1500.. Fuel economy.. Yes it can haul more than a Hemi or 360.. But it just wont do what a 2500 or 3500 will do.

You bet. It's just like a diesel car can get 50MPG easy but a gasoline can get only 30MPG.

you have got to be the most thick headed 17YO i have ever met!

you have been told NUMEROUS times about getting a truck to do the job. stop thinking your 1500 can do it all, no matter the mods you have done, its still illegal!
