Default Cummins, CAT, International NaviStar, Hemi, Allison, Aisin...

Yep, the title about sums it up. So should I go any further? Well I will 'cause lots of good stuff...

There's been talk for years now about Dodge and Cummins parting ways. I don't believe this... Do you? They say that Ford bought out Cummins, but Cummins is still independent. Is it possible that Ford will get Cummins diesels? Maybe. Not if Dodge and Cummins still have a Contract.

So if Dodge loses Cummins what do you think they will do? Well, talk has it, that Dodge will use International NaviStar, the funny thing being, this is where Ford got into Diesels! Other people say they will get CAT diesels (Please no!). I would think NaviStar, but just my opinion... Or will they build their own Diesel?

Dodge now has Aisin 6 sped transmissions in their trucks. Well.. A change.. But this proves a point here: A year or two ago there was rumour that Dodge would be getting Allisons. So far this has proved wrong. Good too, cause I don't like Allisons .

What about the Hemi? I never have been in a Hemi powered truck, but I like the Magnums better . They now have the PowerStar 4.7L or something like that (Correct me and I will edit here if I am wrong). Think they will drop the Hemis? I wish they would bring back the Magnums and update them (wishful thinking)...

Let's discuss all of the above and what's in the title. Keep your cool. This is not intended for a argument thread, just normal debating and discussion. I have stated nothing as fact.

Dodge won't ever drop the Hemi to bring back the Magnum, isn't going to happen.

I've heard talk before about Ford using the Cummins Diesel, but I don't see it happening, Dodge would be up ***** creek without a paddle if they ever lost Cummins.

They can keep those junky Allison Transmissions behind the DuraCrap too.

I love my truck, but I would give it up in a heartbeat for a 5.7 HEMI.

technically speaking.... the hemi, IS indeed a magnum. look it up, they call it a hemi magnum, or magnum hemi. something like that.

Well they call it a hemi magnum, IDK how much the Magnum and Hemi share, but I like my Magnums better than Hemis, 'cause I have heard how much gas them 5.7s hog... That's just what I have heard... Is that right?

With all the MPG Standards set by the Government the Hemi Magnum HAS to get better mileage then our Magnums.

And I think HammerZ71 would tell you that despite a 100HP DISadvantage, the Magnum pulls a bit better then the early 3rd Gen Hemi's....

Using the word "Hemi" is merely good marketing by Chrysler. But I would give up the ole 360 for a 5.7L any day
