If you want a more accurate number it would be a 6.0141L.

EGR is the biggest killer. Blows head gaskets out. Lifters suck too, and the turbo's...

That's what I thought. I don't think I'm going to have to worry about any of those on a 6.0L Magnum though.

No there's nothing wrong with the number 6.0. LS2's are great motors (I can't believe I just said that).

Jigabop is a superstitious old woman.

Well here's the piston I'm looking at:

Price is $460.64 for a set of pistons and rings.
It'll bump my compression ratio to somwhere between 10.08 and 10.66. I think I can still run 89 octane (correct me if I'm wrong). They require a bore of 4.040", so it'll fit perfectly with my plan.

I'm going to get a set of Mopar performance lifters.
I've decided against headers. SCT Tune is a must. Gonna get a Cloyes double roller timing chain. Going to get Clevite Full Groove bearings of the racing grade.

I haven't decided on what cam or springs yet but I know I do need a different cam and springs. More later.

If I was doing that much work, I would do a standard stroker build. Things are more likely better matched form rotating equip to heads. Just a thought. Oddball builds are oddball for a reason.

What's a stroker build? What's involved in that?

408 stroker. Several threads here on a couple of them.

DerickC and mfarrell (df members) come to mind...
