I know what you found, my post was to point out that if you bought all the parts separate you would need to have the rotating assy balanced adding more cost to the build. So what kit are you looking at Scat or Eagle?
It's a Eagle kit.
Rod length for the 410 stroker kit is the same as the factory rod, stroke is increased by a little under half inch. I'll ask my machinist and see what he thinks.

Rod length has nothing to do with it, it's because the longer stroke of the crank. Good luck with your build, you seem to have it under control.Originally Posted by techningeer

Which is the reason the block must be machined for clearance of the eccentric parts of the crank.
This will not be cheap rebuild, but if done correctly, it will be a heck of an engine.

well I'm gonna do it RIGHT this time and not try to get by cheap in any respect. With a stroker kit, how many horses you think it'll have? I'd make a guess it'd reach 300 easy.Originally Posted by gdstock

Edit: GO to big on the stroker kit and the block will need to be clearance for the rods, adding to machine work costs.

So do you think a 410 will need to have the extra machining?Originally Posted by merc225hp

That will be determined by the machinist, not me or you. Most of the kit's warn about this possibility. I have seen some that did not need to be machined and other block that did. As posted this will not be a cheap build one thing will lead to another and it will add up fast if you do it right.
