Default Wish me luck

Gonna start removing my TB and intake. I'm gonna do the kegger mod, TB mod, install the plenum gasket reinforcement kit, and new intake gasket. I hope it all works out ok

I got it from Hughes I think. Is a better gasket I think. Haven't looked in the box yet. It's supposed it help to stop the gasket from blowing again.

Is it the aluminum plenum plate?

Advice: go slow, take your time. Replace timing set while you are there, and possibly water pump. And take photos! We all want to see a plenum uglier than ours!

Timing set was replaced a year ago. And water pump about 8 months ago. Wife had it changed while I was deployed. I didn't know anything about the plenum problem till this site. Amazing what dealers fail to tell you.

OK. Timing and WP are likely good then.

Just spray everything good with PB Blaster to reducle probablility of breaking bolts off. Use torque wrench to go back together.
