I would like to see your ls1 powered ram break 35" tires loose at 55mph, because I can

Jig next time I see Earl (the at fault driver in my accident) I will remember to beat him.

^^^ I can't break them free in 4th like you can at 55mph, well never tried from fear of leaving a trail of trany parts down the road. It scoots just fine.

cummins is not a dodge engine. never has been, never will be. cummins is its own brand, just like caterpillar is its own brand.
*sigh*
Seeings how the jist of what I was saying was missed. Yes I know that cummins comes in the F650's. I'm talking about pulling a CUMMINS FROM A DODGE TRUCK and putting into a Ford. I never claimed it was a Dodge engine, I merely used it as an example.

ANYWAYS, I love the suggestions so far, guys!! The big block idea sounds fun as hell. I'd have to register it in Ohio or WV with one of my friends from college, but that's no big deal. I also really dig the viper v10 idea, I've seen long blocks go as low as $3,000. The ls idea is still an option as well. I am pretty bias to loving mopar, but I'll go with works over what is original or the same brand. I KNOW a stock 4.8/5.3/6.0 ls blocks can take 700whp with boost and nitrous without disassembling... and this is a stock rotating assembly we're talking about. You can be upset that it's not a mopar engine, and that's fine, but it's also not your truck so it shouldn't bug you too much. It's not healthy getting mad over things that don't affect you

THOUGH, if I were to go mopar... http://www.racingjunk.com/Engines-Co...scar-arca.html
Mmmm... 850 ~ 900hp nascar engine. Too bad it's a bit pricey haha.

No, I don't like most junk they make. The only two things going for them are their v8's and their Allison transmissions... which are basically knock offs of ZF's. Strawman as much as you like though, I don't mind haha.

Yes, a diesel with several grand in work and enough psi to move the planet out of orbit will beat almost any gas engine. I am aware of this. Diesel performance gets way to pricey, however. And if I were to power my truck with a diesel engine It'd have to be a 4bt... which go for about $2,500 when you do find them.

The more I think about it, it just comes out cheaper and ezer above the rest, big cubes, big hp out of the box what 550+ then mod it out. You say $3000 thats cheap hp in my books. I think you have posted your a mech so what a week or less work to install a SRT-V10 and tranny, t case should also be ezer to deal with.

I don't think anyone is mad or stressed but there are those loyal to keeping things Mopar motor wize (gas), you must know that. Knowing that you should have been expecting to be razed just a little bit.
