5.9 efi with AC pump removed.

Would like to hear how others have succesfully eliminated their AC pump from the 5.9 Magnum engine.
Putting the finishing touches on a 95 ram 1500 4x4 truck and considering removing the pully that sits just to the top left of waterpump.
This would give me a straight shot across from alternator to the power steering pump.
Since that would creat a long loop between the two, has anyone else had success in using this method ??
No need to run anymore pully's on the belt than are actually needed as i see it.
Any suggestion, that have been successful ??

I have no desire to remove mine, but I'm a little confused by your post.
You say remove pulley to the top left of water pump. Are you talking about removing the tension pulley?

Alternator -- at 11 o-clock
Tension pulley -- 10 o-clock
AC pump -- 1 o-clock
water pump -- dead center with green cap on the threads.
You say remove pulley to the top left of water pump. Are you talking about removing the tension pulley?

Pulleys like to have a certain amount of surface area from the belt making contact with them, take some of that contact area away and things might not work as well as they should. I can add that non ac belts do not fit a ac truck with the a/c comp removed, there is a pulley size change in the non ac system.
