Well that sucks, but good to know for others doing this.

So what are you going to do? To me the holes are to close to each other to be drilling new holes. Weld up the old holes then drill new idk.

Frame reinforced. Need some plate to put on out side of the frame web so the hangar is flush. And a brake line.

Then it's drive down and get the sob welded. Replace fuel pump if possible(funds are EXTREMELY low at the moment)

Put the bed on and enjoy having my truck back!

Well the truck is ready to get welded, have the bed put on, and be done.

I have been chasing a starting problem, turns out it was 5 month old battery (of course)

I need new rear calipers, brake bleeders are rusted all to hell. WOnt bleed. One was rounded off. Im just going to get some remaned ones down at the dealership and take these old ones in for a core.

Took it for a ride up and down the strreet with a pretty bad pedal. GOt up to about 30pmh. It rides pretty good. It vibrates a little more than I like when i let off the gas pedal. Probably just the cheapo used tires.

Definitely can notice the 4.10s. Why did i not do this a loong time ago? I love downshifting to let the engine help slow down and man, with those 4.10s it sounds sooooo good. And i have two massive exhaust leaks.

So i just have to figure up the parking brake and i will be all done and inspection ready, minus new tires. Rock solid ram fix is going in also.

Im not 100% done yet but, if youre thinking about doing this swap, stop thinking and put the money back and just do it. You will not regret it. I have spent around 2-2.5 grand on this swap getting the truck and parts and stuff. I have sold about 1k and have about 1k left to sell. If someone will buy the shat.

If you were doing a bare bones swap it would be much cheaper. But i have done some upgrading and stuff.

Nice I am glad you are almost to the end of things. Batt eh well at least you know what the starter looks like inside now Very close to the same cost as me, but you have made way more money back than I did selling of the old parts. So 241 install next?

241 rebuild then install

Also looking for a nv4500/parts truck.

But all this will have to wait until I accumulate some more truck funds.

Also I want a different wheel/tire combo. I like the black wheels though. Have to see how everything looks when I put the bed back on.

I am glad your project is coming along Looking forward to pics of the rear install! Gonna have install pics as well as finished pics? :-P I am looking very forward to this swap when I get the chance! What 241, DLD or DHD?

I agree I love the look of black wheels over chrome or any other combo. Planning on lifting or bigger tires for the truck?

Frig black wheels are more expensive than chrome or polished wheels up here because they are all the craze. There is a good chance I will be selling my wheels off this spring when I go to bigger tires. But then there is the shipping cost to get them to you guy's and that sucks monkey nutz.
