Dana 60 Swap!
have you looked for small equipment trailers? i have one available that will easily fit a ram on it. though youre a thousand miles away.
I'm just gonna bite the bullet. The truck is worth it and I don't wanna risk waiting another week and possibly losing it.

It looks to be in really good shape. *******ly rust free

Intial reaction after a once over is that I practically stole this truck. Here are a bunch of pics

front diff

rear diff

disc rear

As you can see the front tie rod looks pretty bent, and the front driver wheel looks a little off camber but he axle itself appears to be in great shape.
One glance and you can tell how much more heavy duty and beefy the 60s are then the pun half-ton axles. I cant wait to get these under my truck

I cant find the front axle on the dana website, I went back out to verify that it is the right number and it is. Its on the plate and the axle shaft
Quad 4x4 lists it under their 2002 section
http://www.quad4x4.com/DodgeDana60fr...Identification
also at the top of the page they list that the front axles 2000 and up had a seemingly major overhaul
EDIT: The ball joint section explains that on 00-02 front dana 60s the lower all joint carrys all of the weight of the truck and therefore has half the life of the 94-99 60s which have a typical lifespan of 7-10 years
Also states that ball joints are pressed into the axle themselves instead of the steering knuckles, which makes replacing them a real PITA
EDIT 2: front doesn't gave a CAD, yay for parasitic drivetrain loss! Yay for no more faulty vacuum mechanisms!
