That would probably work.... or, leave the weighted (newer) flexplate on there, and get a torque converter for a 96 or newer truck.

No. the 80 t/c suck. Get a GOOD one. Spend at least 200.

Ouch $200+ for the slush box. I would do the 5 speed swap now but I know my parents will just yell at me more haha. Anyone happen to know the length difference between an auto with the 231 and a nv4500 with a 241?

Get the driveshafts for the 241, and then use some hybrid u-joints to hook to your axles. I think Merc has the numbers in one of his posts.

It lives! Here's the first startup. After a while it started running better. Must be the new mopar computer learning. Got worried because the check engine light came on. Turned out to be for the egr which I removed.

Voila!!! Snow's build is spanking on everyone except for Wildman and Merc. Super kudos. I lost track on your build...I know you were building exhaust, but are you straight piped? No cats, right?

It's 2.25" y pipe to single 3" with an aero turbine muffler. No cat

efff u on not being required to have cat.

I may have to make my own Y-pipe now. bah! But it's actually more manageable wrt everything else.

Question: No change to exhaust manifolds. Good idea to just remake driver side down pipe to collector? Reason is not damage...yet. lol Just a random question since you just recently did related work.
