Going to set my fuel sync on Saturday when my scanner comes. What's a good setting to go with? I believe stock is 0 but I hear cammed engines like +4. I think I might also follow this and set the idle speed and iac counts: http://www.bionicdodge.com/Download/...a%20Magnum.pdf

I'd just set it to zero. Maybe see how it behaves there and okay with it.

You're lucky if you got a scanner that can set it! Not just a one time deal and hoping it works lol

depending on cam specs... mines set to plus 2 i believe.

keep in mind, the numbers will bounce around from 0, to +4 or 5 once set. its normal!

Dang Nab I wish I had known you wanted to buy a SnapOn scanner. I had bought a MT2500 and then got a smoking deal on a MTG2500 so I bought it too.
I would have given you a SMOKIN deal on the MT2500 scanner. It would have just been the scanner so you would have had to get the keys and cartridges you needed but you might have come out a head.

I have read some people getting better power and stuff with their fuel sync set at +4-5 with aftermarket cams. I would just start at 0 and go from there and figure out what your engine likes better.

Got my fuel sync set but it still didn't want to idle. Every time I would stop or slow down it would die. I needed to raise the idle so I messed with the stop screw for the throttle blades. That didn't work because the iac would just change position to get the idle back down. So I got rid if the iac and set the idle with the throttle stop screw. I put a iac mostly extended unto the throttle body and I hooked up a dummy iac and a ground for it to make the computer happy. Truck runs great now but at stops in gear it sounds like the motor mounts are bad or something. It's hard to describe but i think the word for it would be it drones haha.

I found that my 'new' IAC motor simply did not work as well as it should. I installed a used spare I had laying around, and my idle problems went away.

The iac works great. The problem is it's meant to keep the idle lower than I want so no matter how I adjust the throttle blades it adjusts and brings the idle back down. What I need is to change the desired idle rpm in the PCM. I think it can be done with a fancy scanner, if I can get my hands on one, or a b&g custom PCM flash. I'm also looking into aftermarket efi like megasquirt and fast.

Oh, you have a 95, so, it ain't so easy for you.....

Yeah, custom tune (at 250 a pop) or some programmable controller are about your only options.

Yeah. I'm still trying to figure out why it bogs down when put in gear.
