do yourself a favor and download the free factory service manual that is available in our faq/diy section. there should be one specific to 95' which will show you vacuum routing diagrams.

will do.. but it's a 96' so hopefully theres one for that year too. That diagram would be a big help! from my memory, and the pics i posted, i dont think there is any check valves in the system. Personally the vacumn looked butchered to me. plus i found the throttle cable for the cruise disconnected from the bracket as well.

There is a 96 FSM in that thread. Or at least there used to be.

So far it doesn't look bad, actually pretty clean for the most part. Looks like you've just got some cosmetic issues on the exterior and interior....personally, I don't think they're bad. The mechanical stuff you've got cut out for ya.

Just remember, keep your head straight and don't get pissed off at it. That's the worst thing you can do. You never wanna get mad at these trucks because that will come back to bite you in the *** later.

Vac lines on the pass side of the intake. Thats a M1 but the hose routing is the same with the kegger intake.

There should be one of these decals on your rad cradle.

So i took posession of the Dodge on Friday. I've since visited the parts store, purchased a Grey Floor mat, and a wrap around steering Wheel Cover. I also had to buy 2 new wiper blades, I picked up 5 feet of vacumn hose as well.

yesterday i vacumned the interior, and also gave it a quick wash. I have a list of things that need to be addressed though.

1.) fix vacumn issue with the crazy vents thing.
2.) Driver door lock wont lock/unlock when power lock button is used. Apparently i can hear it trying to lock, but nothing happens. Gonna take the door off and figure that out maybe today.
3.) Dashboard is trash,need a cap/ replacement.
4.) Found the ashtrey in the back compartments, re-install on dash panel.
5.) Replace carpeting.
6.) replace overhead console, its broke pretty bad.
7.) Found carpet wet on driver side after washing. checked seals on door, nothing looks wet or bad when clearly can see how theyre stopping water.. anyone have any ideas on this?
8.) check passenger door front speaker, its not playing.
9.) replace front grille
10.) replace front bumper setup.
11.) replace lamps/ damaged lamp on passenger side. (maybe all depending on what i go with)
12.) think i have a mild exhaust leak. will have to check that out as time goes by. see what the deal is with that, and fix it if necessary.
13.) may need to replace the dash bezel, because it may be cracked, not positive yet on that though.
14.) seats need fixed.. one of previous owners was smoker and it stinks. plus has burn holes and also driver seat is in need of foam and cover replacement.
15.) sliding window * probably will address this first* latch is broke. need replacement latch mechanism.

I'll try to take and post more pictures of it today.. and this time i'll use a real camera.

things i'd like to add / do to it that are just extras :

1.) bedliner, either drop in or spray on would be a good idea i think.
2.) side step bars. Wouldnt mind finding a set used to slap on there.
3.) brush guard of some sort?
4.) tint the windows.. i dont like the fishbowl look. it needs a good 20% black.
5.) im gonna take a sticker eraser to the pinstripe.. remove it entirely.
1- I know your lines are screwed up, but the wild vents is usually the check valve at the manifold. Several threads on this and other forums.
2-No idea
3- Get LMC full replacement if more than 2 cracks. Not much more than a cap anyway.
4- NA
5- Again LMC or Stockinteriors.com
6-NA
7- Either the AC drain gasket inside the engine bay against the firewall (put hose on it) or leaking heater core or evaporator core
8-Easy to replace, get your favorite speaker and two screws R&R
9-LMC
10-LMC
11-LMC
12-Fix sooner rather than later. Exhaust leaks can be big problems.
13-LMC
14-Custom shop rebuild ($$$$) or just get a fitted cover at gtcovers.com
15-No idea. May have to make your own.

I would get a spray liner or cheaper: get the diy kits at parts stores.
Also I would swap the tires front to rear. You have better grip in the front and on a 2wd that is opposite. At least it LOOKS that way in the pics. Also, I would get 245s all around and have fun tearing it up!!

I hope this helps a little getting started on your new rig. Love seeing some love thrown at the 2nd gens. Good Luck!
