Sadly it's directly under the feet of the driver. the entire driver side from sill to where the hump goes up, from he firewall to the seat, basically soaked. now its drying, but ever so slowly.

I can take a pciture of the discolored area if you would like?

I have a few leads, but havent bought anything yet. My spending money for the truck this time went to the bed liner, as i couldnt pass it up.

well... busy day. had a death in the family, adn due to extenuating circumstances, im not going to the funeral, even though i've took off the rest of the week.

so to keep mymind off things, I went junkyarding. Well one junk yard. Our local Pull A Part.

I found bout 10-12 dodge rams (2nd gens) and was able to find a lot of parts. The good is listed next :

1.) Found a complete vacumn hose assembly, to fix my wild vents. I installed it, and it did just that. even with the existing check valve. So now my vents work great, and it is stock dodge. I'm VERY happy about this.

2.) Passenger side marker light... front... mine was all cracked.. so i got one off of a 96 for 3.56 and change.. Put it in, good as new.

3.) Driver door Lock Actuator. Found a nice driver door on a blue 98.. took the lock actuator out and hoped it worked.. 4.00 later i have working power locks for BOTH doors.

4.) New Headliner. Found a dark grey headliner. It matches my dash color perfectly. I like it cause it's not the light taupe. I put it in and love it.

5.) new overhead console, from same truck that had the headliner. I went to my local parts store and decided to buy dash color paint. once i did that, i sprayed the headliner hardware, i.e. the brackets for the visors, the overhead console, and the oh **** handle on the roof. All match, all installed. Me so happy man. its nice and dark now. looks better. Just wish the visors had been good enough to get as well. :/ all that was 25.00 total...

6.) Sliding rear window latch. 1.40 and im in business.

overall a productive afternoon. I am quite happy with the situation and glad it all worked out. I've got it all installed on the truck and its ready to go.

things i wished i found : Carpet, dash cap. Seats, but im out of money again so oh well. At least i got what i did lol

Man your lucky. The pull a part by me has maybe one or two Rams at a time and they get gutted in a day. Those trucks just dont die around here apparently.

yea i felt i got real lucky.

Here's the pictures:

Old headliner with old overhead console. :

here is the new one installed :
I tried to color match the visor with the paint i bought (its messed up anyways) I didnt like it, so I'm gonna just get new ones somewhere eventually.

This shows the color matched overhead console i painted and put in, I also color matched the oh **** handle over the driver door, and all other plastic hooks for the headliner / visor clips.

here's the storage shelfs i got, i only found 3 but i got every one i could find.

here's the new turn signal. Not bad for 3 bux... the other one was cracked pretty bad if you check my other pics im sure you'll see it in them.I'm gonna have to do something abou that front bumper setup. I'd love to find a red sport bumper and slap it on there. :

Last but not least by any means, my repair of the old Wild vents.

How they looked :

and how they are after. :

the hose with the tape residue is from the vacumn canaster under the battery. I think it is the reason my cruize control does not function. The vents however are flawless now.

pics of the lock mechanism were not taken, and now that the door is all back together, i dont feel like taking the door apart. but it too works great.

what y'all think?

Looks great Purple! Way to keep your truck in good shape!

I wonder if the floorboard is just wet from previous use and not a leak? Have you witnessed it leaking or just noticed the wet carpet?

Did you see any charcoal interiors at your junkyard? I need the center console lid in a dark gray/charcoal very bad and nobody has it online. I will pay you for the part and shipping!!!!

Thanks Ramman!

oddly enough the floorboard is almost dry now. I dont know why it was wet before, but after i washed the truck it got wetter i thought. It hasnt rained much, since i took possession of the truck, but it did one night, and it hasnt gotten any wetter. It is supposed to rain today/tongith, so i'll check it again tomorrow. Im hoping that (long shot here) because i didnt have a latch on the rear window, it was cracked ever so slightly, and that being enough to make the floor soaked from me washing the truck (direct hose spray on back window area) now i have a latch and its locking, im hoping that the issue there is fixed.

i noticed last night while checking my lighting, my reverse lights dont work, so im gonna have to check that out, and the over the cab lighting doesnt work either (bed illumination) so i may still have an issue there, so im gonna probaly pull all that apart.

there were no charcoal seats/ consoles anywhere to be found. I wish there had been as i'd of been one to ****** the seats / console up if in good shape.. I HATE cigarette burns, and my seats / door inserts / visors have TONS of them..and it irks my OCD. (nonsmoker all my life)

the dash is annoying btw. its cracked so bad it rattles and shakes when braking, and is annoying the hell out of me. I will try to make another trip otu to a different yard in the next few weeks. If I see any charcoal console lids, I'll grab one for ya.

IF anyone here needs the vacumn tube setup similar to what i put in lemme know, i have a few spares now lol. Theyre in various condition, but the entire setup is there for the most part. I can take pictures if needed.
