I bought D60's a month ago to install in my truck but they could just as easily fit on this thing. I learned my lesson when I snapped the ears off my D44 axle at the u-joint about a month ago. I plan on putting my 35s on it eventually. He says when he bought it 3 years ago for $10,500 the previous owner told him it has 4.56. Rebuilt transmission a year and a half ago he said. It's a 5 inch rough country suspension kit. Merc225hp, The closest city to me is roughly 5 hours. Don't even have emission tests here lol.

I'd be asking for paperwork on any rebuilds and maybe have a shop that does lifts do a presale check for you. May cost an hour or two labour charge but if there is anything wrong it would save you that and more.

Well if you have a set of 60's and the new wheels have less backspace that will help. We don't have smog test's here either but they are coming down on lifted trucks more and more.

So I'm still waiting to go look at the truck. The kid selling it is in college and has gone home for the holidays. Anyways, in the meantime I'm still looking around and the v10 is starting to peak my interest. Don't know much about them and I have yet to see one in person. They are a lot rarer. I know they come with a D60/70 combo and a sh*t ton of torque. Whichever truck I buy or build, it's going to run 37 inch tires, low gears, lockers, and engine/tranny mods and will be more of a weekend play toy/run around after work kind of thing. I have a 95 ram 5.2L 2wd as a dd. Anybody have experience with a built 8.0 or know someone who does? Are they as reliable as te magnum v8s?

Actually, the truck motor, and the Viper motor share very few common parts. I think mounts, and bellhousing bolt pattern are the same.... so, you could conceivably drop a viper aluminum v-10 into your truck. THAT would be FUN!

So the original truck deal fell through. He blew his transmission and wants $6000 as is or $7500 rebuilt. I think I'll stay away from that one.

I've been looking everyday online but yesterday another truck that got my attention came up.

5.9L V8 with 194,000 km & automatic transmission. Everything works as it should. TONS on new parts in last 2 months:

• COMPLETE new front end (Upper & lower ball joints, wheel bearings, trac bar, inner & outer tie rod ends, u-joints & more)
• 4" Lift
• 33x12.5-17 Mickey Thompson MTZs (with 5th tire for spare) on 17x8 OffRoad Edition Rims
• Front & Rear Axles from OffRoad Edition Ram with 4.10 Gears
• 1999+ Sport Front Bumper, Grill, Headlights & Rear Bumper
• New custom Stainless Steel True Dual Exhaust with Polished Cats, Dynomax Bullet mufflers, and dual rear tailpipes
• Pacesetter Long Tube Headers
• AEM Cold Air Intake
• Accel Performance Ignition & Oversized Plug Wires
• New Front Fenders
• 2001 complete interior in excellent shape
