Those ramps were given to me 6 or 7 years ago by a friend thats dying from liver failure. Those things are pretty stout and do the job just fine.

Sorry to hear about your friend, but don't get attached to a pair of ramps that have already buckled unevenly as yours have.

If they mean that much to you, make something cool out of them. Like a table, shelf, bench, chair, or something else for the shop in honor of your friend. Don't make yourself keep using buckled ramps and putting your neck on the line because they have a sentimental value. That's absurd, and I think your friend would agree.

Again just because theyre a bit bent doesn't mean they dont work. Your comments have nothing to do with any of my rust repair, only to bash my ramps. They work just fine, and I dont see them failing anytime soon.

I thought that too, right up until one of my ramps collapsed, trapping me under a 77 Caprice, with the frame resting on my chest...... (Not the full weight of the car, but, more than I could squirm out from under....) I was stuck there for a couple hours before my wife-at-the-time came out to see why I didn't come in for supper....

I won't use ramps. At all.

Well the truck is more than high enough to not need ramps but I have just the passenger side on it to get the rocker up a bit higher. I usually dont use the ramps on my truck unless I need it up higher, and again I can slither under the axles so its plenty high enough...

That is one thing I really do like about my truck. I don't need to jack it up to work under it. I can almost sit up underneath it.. in some places, I can...

I Need some larger tires.

When I see disregard to safety when it comes to supporting a vehicle, I don't care what topic is at hand. That said, I don't see how my observation and criticism is off-topic considering the ramps are clearly included in your process.

I'm not bashing you personally. If you don't want to take my advice, that's your call. But, it's my call as to whether I said something... and so I did.

I'm just looking out for another forum member. Simple as that.

dont really have any updates... got the passenger side almost done, juts need to do the door. driverside hasnt been started yet. been far too humid, and uncomfortable to do any body work. not having a garage sucks!

the humidity is supposed to drop off tonight i think. so im hoping to do more tomorrow or friday.
