I'd get a job somewhere and be laid off in just a few weeks. Not because I was a bad worker, its just that the jobs were very short term. When I would get hired they always said after 30 to 90 days I'd be full time then just let all of us new hires go with no warning, you'd come in to work and they would say go home your laid off until further notice.
This was in the late 70's since I had no permanent address it was hard to even change my license to the new state. When the plates on my car were about to expire I went back to Wisconsin and did that.
Not exactly legal but I didn't really know what else to do other than just renew them. Besides it was only $25.00 to renew your plate in Wisconsin an much closer to $80 down here.
I was working pretty steady most of the time, I rarely went more than a week without a job but it was darn hard to get myself established. I finally hooked up with a temporary work service and was able to get in to a place that kept me for more than a few weeks.

well, the new job ended after 3 1/2 hours into my first shift.
i was working in cutoff, and my back decided to seize up, and started to spasm. supervisor took me to hr, hr sent me home, then let me go.
oh well. i have an interview with jiffy lube tuesday!
also, bought a new grill today. its a Brinkmann from Home Depot.
was 330, with a cover, and a free propane tank exchange...

So what do y'all think of the Wal-Mart closures and the whole Jade Helm thing?
I think it's very unlike Wal-Mart to just up and close several stores without any notice, all while having the stores fully stocked. Obviously if you stop/slow down shipments of merchandise that will alarm people and clearly they didn't want anyone to know.
But I don't buy plumbing issues as the reason.

I don't think it's plumbing issues either because I know they would be super quick in getting that changed out. I think it's retaliatory towards employees there, looking for a way to shut them up.

The cam position sensor went out on the PT Cruiser yesterday. We were just going for a drive. No where in particular just something to do {you'll have that when your old and retired} Stopped at a stop sign and when I went to cross the intersection we heard a chime go then the CEL came on.
Decided to cut the scenic drive short went home and got out the OBD II scanner and got P0340 for code. Could not get the code to clear. Went to O'reilly's today and spent the $41. and some change and got the new one mentioned that I wished I had my wrenches along and the counter man said what do you need we can loan them to ya for a small fee.
I said I would need a 10mm and a 8mm socket and a short extension and ratchet and maybe a long straight blade screw driver. He turned around to a tool box I thought was just a display model and got out what I needed.
I said your gonna let me do this right out in your parking lot. He just smiled and said I don't see you doing anything.
A few minutes later I came back in and retuned the tools and asked what I owed him for the use. He put them away and turned back and said What use?
So I thanked him and went on my way.
Was nice to be able to use the cruise control on the way home.
