Default Should I buy a Solus?

Alrighty gents/gals,

I have the opportunity to buy a Solus for $510. It has software bundle 11.2 on it, which covers up to 2010 on most vehicles. It also has Asian software and includes 22 keys. I have to decide by 9am if i want to go for it or not.

I have a 99 caravan, a 98 Ram 2500 and my GF has a 08 Saturn. I need to program keyfobs for her car at some point, and it appears 11.2 have the ability to do so. In addition to that, I need to fix some power/fuel economy stuff on the caravan, and possibly some trans work on the Ram.

Those of you familiar with the Solus, is it worth getting? How's the price? From my research this seems like an ok price, but I've done most of my research on ebay and the likes.

Solus was the successor to the MT(G)2500. For that price, it is definitely worth it.

FedEx finally delivered it yesterday. It was a signature required thing and made it kind of a pain in the you know. Anyway, I opened it up today and it looks pretty good. It powers on and boots, but shuts off so I think the batteries are weak (6AA!) I'm going to get some fresh batteries later and start playing with it. I can post some pictures if anyone really cares that much, lol.

Once you plug it into the truck, it will draw power from the truck electrical system. You can plug it in, and play with it, regardless of internal battery condition.
