They still have to pump it for you in Jersey? Been 25 years since I lived in the Hudson Valley and been in the Garden State. If so, $1.93 is cheap for full serve. I ain't seen a full serve station in 15 years.
Update: Am talking to a buddy of mine I used to tournament bass fish with from Augusta, Ga. He paid $1.64 for 87 octane across the river from him in Aiken, SC this morning. He din't notice price of other grades or diesel...

I am real curious what their reasoning is for that..... are folks in NJ incapable of pumping their own gas? What makes them different then the rest of the country? Hell, they even let folks in Commiefornia pump their own gas........

New Jersey drivers may soon have to pump their own gas
Oregon is the only other State with no self-service. If that's what the people in those States want then that should be fine.
FWIW, regular unleaded is between $1.98 and $2.45 in the OKC area. Cheaper gas is going to be E-10.

I worked at one when I was a junior in high school. Manager always had two people at the pumps. One to pump gas and handle the $ and credit card knuckle buster and the other to wash windshields and check/top off fluids and air.
I can remember when the first self serve station opened in upstate NY. Had the little hut in the middle where one employee sat surrounded by pumps.
Even though they tended to be a dime or so cheaper per gallon than full serve because their labor costs were a fraction, everybody I knew stayed clear and predicted their demise - at first. LOL...

Went to VA this weekend to visit my folks and take in a Hokie game. Cheapest was 1.99 on I-81 just before getting on I-77 south. Normally Virginia is 30-40 cents cheaper because of the gas tax in NC. I can still get 1.97 at Walmart at home. I hear the barrel is going for less than $20 now. Last year this time or was what, $100 a barrel?
